July is National Blueberry Month! Luckily on Long Island there are plenty of farms and farmers markets where you can get fresh ripe seasonal blueberries. Here’s a list of great places on Long Island where you can u-pick or buy the best blueberries.

Bhavana Blueberries is located on the North Fork of Long Island. Bhavana means the cultivation of mind, body and spirit. These farmers wanted to create a sustainable orchard with organic blueberries. Everything is done by hand using only organic and sustainable agricultural practices. You can u-pick blueberries, organic garlic and as well other vegetables on this farm.
Patty’s Berries and Bunches

Patty’s Berries and Bunches farm is a unique berry farm out in Mattituck. You can pick berries including strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Each berry has a different month when they are ready to be picked. A $6 fee gets you into entry to the patch and a container for your berries. This farm also has a sweet treat, ice cream made with seasonal fruit. Some of the flavors include strawberry fields, lemon basil, peach patty and of course blueberry bliss. After a long day of picking out in the sun this ice cream is the perfect way to cool off.
Organics Today Farm

Organics Today Farm has some of the best berries around. Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries are only some of the delicious things they have at Organics Today. You can also get jellies, jam and delicious pies made out of their berries grown on the farm.
Wickham’s Fruit Farm

Cutchogue, NY 11935
Fresh blueberries are available at the Wickham Fruit Farm stand. Blueberries are great alone but are even better in pies or jellies. This farm takes their fresh fruits and makes jams and jellies with no added preservatives. Try their pies, they are handmade daily, using fresh fruit from the farm.

Lewin Farm has berries including strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. They even have corn, peaches, watermelons, plums, pears and tomatoes. Blueberries can be picked at this farm mid-June to August.
