Atlantic City, NJ
Located a little more than two hours south of New York City, Atlantic City offers a little bit of everything to its visitors. Most of all, you can find a weekend’s worth of excitement, including shows and gambling. Since there are so many hotels in Atlantic City, visitors can always find a decent last-minute deal for that impulse trip when you just want to get away.

Pocono Mountains, PA
The Poconos are a short drive from New York City and offer something for everyone. There is an abundance of activities in nature if you enjoy hikes and rafting. In addition, there are many resorts, each with its own variety of activities. Numerous hotels offer romance packages for quick weekend trips. The Poconos have entertainment options for both summer and winter, including numerous ski areas. There are also casinos, waterparks and cultural activities.
Hunter Mountain, NY
Hunter Mountain is a ski resort that is three hours from New York City. There are 67 runs and 13 lifts. The resort is currently undergoing an expansion that will add to the number of ski runs and lifts. Additionally, there is also a large snow tubing park for those who do not wish to ski. Hunter Mountain has year-round activities that can provide entertainment outside of ski season. When you are not skiing, there are many hotels in the Catskills that offer romantic weekend getaway promotions including a number of bed and breakfasts.
Montauk, NY
Sometimes, the best options for a romantic weekend getaway are those that are not far from your home. There are ocean views and plenty of restaurants for the perfect short trip. What is even better is that Montauk is reachable by train if you decide that you do not want to fight traffic getting out of the city.

Sag Harbor is a quaint town located in the heart of the Hamptons without the nonstop party that people associate with the Hamptons. There is an exciting mix of history, entertainment and nature to be had in Sag Harbor. The city features both romantic and charming hotels as well as bed and breakfasts for something even more quaint.
