“We came across two local artisans named Jorge and Joaquin while on a surf trip in Costa Rica in 2010. They were struggling to survive on their artisan wages and we wanted to help out in any way that we could. We bought 400 bracelets to take home and sell back in California and after just a few days on display in a local boutique. the bracelets were completely sold out! That’s when Pura Vida Bracelets was born, ” said Griffin Thall, co-founder of Pura Vida.
